The Minot Fire Department Fire Prevention Bureau offers the following services:

• Code Enforcement

• Inspections

• Building Plans Review

• Fire & Life safety Education

• Fire Suppression system plans review

• Arson and Fire Cause Determination Investigations

• Public Education

The Prevention Bureau is under the direction of Fire Marshal Edward Hausauer.  The bureau has three Firefighter/Inspectors, Dean Lenertz, Robert Eisenzimmer and Ken Sisk, and one full time Inspector,  Jon Squires.  There is a Firefighter/Inspector on each battalion and they work a 56 hour workweek, the same as every other firefighter.  The Minot Fire Department Prevention Bureau enforces the provisions of the 2003 International Fire code and local amendments.
