Minot Police Department Citizen Academy

The Minot Police Department is sponsoring a 10 (ten) week educational program designed to give participants a working knowledge of the Minot Police Department. The Citizen Academy will consist of a series of classes/discussions taught by Minot Police Department officers. The class will be limited to 20 students per class.There is no cost for attending the program. Classes will be held at the Minot Police Department located in City Hall (515 2nd Avenue SW, Minot). Please enter through the north doors of City Hall.

The classes will provide an in-depth view into various areas of law enforcement. This is an informative program, not to train the students as a police officer, but rather to offer an opportunity to experience the many facets of police work from the officers' point of view. The Citizen Academy hopes to help residents and business owners in Minot to better understand how the police work in their community.
